As the Director of Strategic Initiatives, Gwendolyn (Gwen) Morgan supports the NVERS mission through identifying, planning, and executing cross-functional initiatives that enhance regional emergency preparedness and healthcare system resilience. Her work specifically focuses on performance monitoring and evaluation, knowledge management, marketing, communications, and business development.
Before joining NVERS, Gwen worked in research and program management on USAID and other donor-funded global health and development projects for over 20 years. She recently worked at ICF as the Senior Capacity Strengthening Advisor, overseeing training and data use activities for a USAID-funded household survey project in food security and resilience. Gwen holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and anthropology from Carleton College, and doctorate and master’s degrees in public health from Tulane University.
